Ledesma Set to Leave Lazio

Cristian Ledesma's agent insists the Lazio midfielder will not be at the Stadio Olimpico next season.

The Argentinian has made no secret of his desire to leave Lazio in search of a more prestigious club, and has been linked with the likes of Inter Milan and Fiorentina.

However, Vincenzo D'Ippolito has revealed that Juventus are in pole position to sign his client as their attempts to land Udinese's Gaetano D'Agostino have hit numerous stumbling blocks.

"I give it as certain that Cristian won't be at Lazio next year," he told Lalaziosiamonoi.it.

"We have talked with Juventus but the bianconeri are still deciding what to do with D'Agostino, after which if they give up on the Udinese midfielder they will think about Ledesma."

D'Ippolito also claims AC Milan are equally as interested in Ledesma as a possible replacement for Andrea Pirlo, who continues to be linked with a move to Chelsea.

He added: "We don't care about being second choice also because we are still in contact with another club of the same level as Juve who want Cristian.

"I'm talking about Milan.

"At Milan it's clear that if Pirlo leaves the first choice is Ledesma, so Cristian will go to either Juve or Milan.

"At this point we have to wait for some developments in the market linked to Milan and Juve, but about the future of the player I have only one certainty and I'll repeat it, that he won't play any more at Lazio."

Lazio have slapped a 15 million euro transfer fee on the 26-year-old who has been a key player for the Biancocelesti since joining from Lecce in 2006.
